Where our product information comes from

Foodex brings together product details published by Canadian manufacturers, distributors and other food businesses that submit listings for review. We organize those details so restaurants, retailers and other commercial kitchens can compare products in one place.

Whenever possible, a listing includes a link to the catalogue, product page or business that supplied the information. Foodex is a discovery resource, not the seller of the products shown here. Confirm current pricing, availability and ordering terms with the supplier before you buy.

What a listing may include

Depending on the source, a product record may include the product name, manufacturer, SKU, package size, case configuration, ingredients, storage information and a source link. Different manufacturers and catalogues publish different levels of detail, so some records will be more complete than others.

How we handle missing information

When a detail cannot be confirmed from a reliable source, we leave it blank or mark it as unavailable. We do not fill gaps by guessing or turn a general product description into a specification.

Pack sizes

When the source provides both, we keep the individual package size separate from the case configuration. This helps buyers distinguish, for example, a single container size from the number of containers in a case.

Prices

Prices are tied to the seller, source and date they were observed. A past price is not presented as a current market price, and buyers should confirm the latest quote directly with the seller.

Corrections and updates

Product information changes. Manufacturers and distributors can contact Foodex to report a correction or submit an updated catalogue. We review the information before changing a listing.
